We were at Catalina Island with an Alternator issue. Was having a hard time finding solutions. After calling a local marine diesel mechanic and told him my issue he said “you need to talk with the guys over at Wayne’s Electric, they will have what you need. After calling and talking with Mark, he made me feel super confident to get in the Catalina Express with only a 1 1/2 hour turn around time. He actually had a new alternator on the shelf belt opted to rebuild ours while we waited. Saved us $450. We made the last Express boat to Two Harbors.

Highly recommend Wayne Electric. We took our Unimog alternator here for an upgrade. Not only do they do good work, Steve and Mark are knowledgeable and have been helpful when I’ve had follow up recommendations.
This place was recommended to me by my mechanic for electrical issues my mother in law was having with her older toyota highlander hybrid. Toyota dealer was looking for $500 just to attempt to diagnose it. Then, they wanted another few hundred bucks after they couldn't figure it out. She ended up getting it towed from the unscrupulous folks at the Toyota dealer to Wayne electric. They charged her $250 to take it apart and ultimately fixed for that cost. They weren't sure what they did that fixed it but it's been nearly a year and it's still working fine. I then took my 2002 Toyota Sequoia there. It was having all kinds of issues including the cluster not working. They got the cluster replaced and working along with a few other minor electrical issues. The cluster eventually broke a few months later. They replaced it for free and it's been working since. My wife's aunt took her Dodge caravan that wasn't looking. They repaired it without replacing the parts but recommended replacing the actuator which she's in the process of doing. The bottom line is these guys know what they are don't and are honest and ethical. 5 stars all the way. If you need electrical work in your car this is the place to go in the long beach area.
