I have driven by Rosy's hair design for a few years now, as it is near my home. I always went by friends recommendations and tried other places in Long Beach (due to my hairstylist moving to Tennessee); However, I have not been happy with any of them that I've gone to in the past for one reason or another to go back to them a second time. Usually it's bec they did not listen or pay attention to the pictures of my past hair styles and give me what I want again or distance and so fourth...Rosy was ready for my 11:30am appt, washed my hair, looked at my pics and questioned a few things, cut & layered, and styled my hair. She told me she went longer on the layers to ensure I wanted to go shorter bec once it's cut it's too late. I did want shorter layers and she did it. I LOVE that she did a good old fashion scissor cut and didn't do the weird choppy cutting or use weird scissors that always give me split ends :-( Her place is very homey and welcoming. I kind of felt like we were in her home even though her business obviously isn't her home. Rosy is friendly and I enjoyed the conversation we did have. I will be going to Rosy from here on out! She is next door to Cherie nail salon if you want your nails done too, but I haven't been there. Highly recommend Rosy's Hair Design! Btw, I walked home in the wind so my pics are not the best, sorry.
Just stopped in here randomly as I just moved here. The place is beautiful, Rosy herself is very nice and obviously loves what she does. No rush at all just wants to make people love their hair. I will definitely be back and can't recommend her highly enough.
Way more affordable than the other salons in the area. She did a very thorough job on the shampoo and it felt amazing! She was also very understanding and clear about what i wanted. I also told her i don't like blowdrying my hair because it always comes out poofy but the way she did it was great! It had volume but not poofy-ness and was nice and silky!!
