John has been here ages and it shows (in only the best way possible) he is knowledgeable without being bullish. Just an amazing example of old fashioned plumbing wisdom in the supply house. He's the guy that makes us plumbers look smart to our customers. Really. Plus he's able to source "one off" or unique parts with little to no advance notice. He literally saved this job. I am a 78 year old widow living in Sherman Oaks, Ca. I have been working for 49 days to replace a 20 year old Flushmate toilet tank. The remaining challenge was to replace the tank to bowl gasket, which the company reports is discontinued. I despaired of ever getting the repair completed. On the third referral I connected with John Herrera, manager of Hirsch Pipe and Supply in Redlands. We had several telephone contacts while he searched stock in multiple ways and locations. He eventually found one with the extra long bolts for installation. I drove 68 miles to pick it up.
