My son felt very comfortable with the instructor right away. Good vibes. My son absolutely loves it.

Both of my children started classes at Hier's eight years ago. The main reason I chose this dojo was watching Sensei relax into a smile, while teaching a class I was observing. My son went on to achieve a black belt and taught younger students. My daughter is a brown belt one stripe. Both kids love Sensei Chris! This is a great place for your kids to learn the art of Karate, self respect, and respect for others. I appreciate there is no pressure to rank up quickly and NO contracts.

My boys started karate with Sensei Chris way back when they were 6&9 years old. They both loved going to Karate. Chris is a kind-hearted instructor who always made my boys feel welcomed and valued. One son opted out after a few years in favour of hockey and theater, the other stayed with Chris, achieving his 2nd degree black belt and going on to teach the little ones. He took a bit of a break but has since returned to the dojo. Heirs dojo is an excellent place to grow up. I highly recommend it.
