“I cannot recommend anyone more highly than I do Susan Ross and Cerna Home Care in Marin County. My mother recently passed away, having been hospitalized briefly and discharged home so as to honor her wish to pass at home with family. We didn't know how long that would be and the hospital told us we would need 24 hour care in the interim, so we received a referral to Cerna and others from the "A Place for Mom" agency. Susan returned my call immediately and came to the hospital the same day to do her assessment before the hospital discharge. The home health care workers dispatched to our house were fantastic; helpful, caring, and compassionate. They succeeded when we could not get her to swallow water or accept pain medication by mouth. They repositioned her as necessary to keep her comfortable. To fill a short gap in scheduling, Susan herself came to our home to be with my mother. It was such a calming influence to have present home healthcare workers who knew what to expect and were in command of the situation. I really want to single out Kebeh, Jasmine, and Pauline who, with Susan, made a situation involving some sad moments also have some beautiful ones.“

She was very thoughtful and explained why we fell through the cracks as we were not informed that Jackie Chan was doing takeout at the height of the pandemic. She apologized and said their customer base is monolingual Chinese and they were able to access the information about the services as they read the Chinese newspaper and we don't. She explained the door ring camera policy is donated by the company Ring, and you need WiFi to access it which we don't have. She said she can connect me with AT & T at a discount rate for seniors. Jessica is very compassionate towards the seniors. Even though one employee left us with a bitter taste (she hassled people for donations and elbowed her coworker not to give me the lunch), I think this organization is very sensitive and compassionate towards us seniors. One bad apple doesn't spoil the whole barrel.“
