Maria Carrillo was wonderful, she did a great job on my hair & she also colored my extensions. I truly recommend her services my hair and style was done by her! She also does my entire family! We have followed Maria since she worked in El Cajon and has done our hair for over 15 years. She has a lot of experience. Any special event, color, or haircut we need she never disappoints us. My daughter wanted to get balayage coloring before she returned for her first day of school. We came into Ruth's for the first time and Maribeth took great care of her. My daughter absolutely loves her new hair!!! She did such a wonderful job with the texture and blending into her natural color. Thank you so much!!!

I walked into here excited about being pampered before a big day and ran out as fast as I could. Literally what happened. I asked as soon as she (Helen) started applying the bleach to root what developer she was using because my scalp immediately starting feeling cold/hot tingly. I notified both her and her student. I suggest rinsing one half and bleaching the other side and no, they wanted to coat the whole head. I said fine but quickly. I needed it to be applied quick so I wasn't sitting even longer with my head on fire. Finally, we rinse. The student was not sympathetic to the fact that one they both knew my scalp was sensitive, and who exactly man handles a blonde after that kind of treatment???? The messy application, fine I'll let it slide just made sure everything coated but now you are literally pulling my hair in the wash bowl and I hear it snapping. We move on to toner, where I am over toned due to the fact Helen, tells the student to set a timer, we then wait for her to remove her gloves, find her phone, chat, and says timer is set. While I'm holding the towel to cover my face from getting wet I feel pain on the right side of my face. I'm burnt. On my face. Because rewind back when I was in the chair, I had to have a wet towel given to me to wipe away clumps of bleach that were sitting on my skin and way more than just on my hair line. Oh, and my pants are ruined. They for defensive saying they put a cape on me. Yes you did. But with the messy application I had bleach clumps flying on me and with the wet towel I had to keep up with, my pants are ruined. I originally paid her, before going out to my car and calling my at home stylist, and she insisted with the amount of damage, bubble gum, over toned, broke hair that I get my money back bc now I have to get a hair cut and two figure out what I am doing for work as well as getting new pants!!!!! If anything worse could've happened, it did today. Sunday is a major day for me. Thank you for showing your character, the whole time I was in your chair. You ruined my h

I have been getting my hair done for years by Nicole. She does an amazing job! The salon is upgraded and always clean. Air conditioning is on during the hotter days. It's an hour drive for me, but so worth it!!

I tried Ruths Salon in lakeside for the first time Saturday 6/12, I had an appointment for 10am. I was greeted promptly by maribeth , the same lady who made my appointment, and same one who cut my hair. Maribeth was very friendly, and very attentive while cutting my hair! The place was squeaky clean, plenty of parking and close to my house, I will back in 6 weeks to see Maribeth for my next haircut, very, very satisfied
