Not what I expected no trainer to help u with workout

Man this place is awesome, and the people there are all so friendly!

Great energy! Folks are actually in there not only working out but encouraging one another and working together! And the staff is super kind and encouraging. Clean, stocked, and excellent machines! Great place to get in shape!

I felt very uncomfortable in this gym because of someone who workout there. I have a feeling that he, or his family member, were personally close to, or knew the owner, so he had a sense of entitlement that he could do whatever he wanted. He would basically troll or fallow me around the gym. I figured the owner condoned this. They also don't do daily passes so you have to pay for an entire month if you want to work out there just a couple of times.

After putting much thought into this review, I am now ready to share a horrible experience with this local business owner. I have lived in the valley most of my life and raised my children here. I have played many roles in this community, including a business owner. recently my son-in-law and daughter were visiting after serving in the military and preparing for their civilian life. My my daughter and son-in-law, both have passions for physical wellness and both lift weights at a professional level and love going to work out daily. Whenever they have come to visit in the past, I have encouraged and recommended Valley fitness for their weightlifting. The way that the owner treated my daughter was not only disrespectful to her but also disrespectful to me. I have been a gym member for years and will be cancelling my membership solely based on this situation. On the evening that my daughter referenced I want to make very clear that, my grandchildren were completely supervised at all times which supports the contract that I have signed that all children under the age of 12 must be supervised. Please reference the picture I'm posting below the way that the gym owner handled the situation was calling at so many levels. I know during times of visits during to the gym my daughter has encouraged other weightlifters and challenged them to be better. My daughter has a passion to not only her own physical health, but also wants to support others that are interested in learning more about the benefits of weightlifting and the benefits of lifting weights correctly. The belittling rant over the phone the business owner gave to my daughter was not only unacceptable, belittling, and unnecessary but also absolutely embarrassing and disheartening knowing I recommended this gym previously. This situation could have been handled with a polite warning in which myself, my kids and my grandchildren would have completely respected. Due to the way that this business owner handled the situation I highly recommend users of this gym reconsider their gym options in our local community and options when coming as a guest. Some additional insight to the situation includes my daughter having previously cordial interactions with the owners so this raging was totally unnecessary. My hope was that this business owner would re evaluate the way she handled this situation and correct it professionally instead of ignoring it or defending it.

It's become overrun with young adults who treat the equipment poorly and are allowed to roam freely. They scream throughout their workouts (not even while lifting weights), slam the weights unnecessarily, and they do not disinfect their machines after use and Victoria stands by idly and gladly lets this happen. These example are just but a representation of her as a new business owner. This creates a disruptive atmosphere and the owner does nothing to prevent this from happening. To make matters worse, the gym owner, Victoria, presents herself as friendly but lacks professionalism when it comes to managing the gym. She struggles to enforce rules effectively, often letting her emotions take over, which reflects poorly on her maturity as a business owner. The decline in both the gym's environment and management is disappointing.

This negative review beyond disheartening because I had previously recommended this gym to numerous people. However, the true character of the owner was revealed in their abhorrent handling of any conflict. This place is not just a gym, Victoria has made it a breeding ground for humiliation. To explain the mistake/situation my husband and I recently separated from the military. I called previously to let Victoria know I would be stopping by after hours and would pay for a three day pass. We were working out later that night and then my mom briefly stopped by with my niece (8) and nephew (7) (which I haven't seen in months) to say hello. They were amazed at the gym and wanted to lift a weight. Having a vast knowledge of how the gym works and trying to set a good example for the younger generation, we let them lift a 5 pound weight keeping hands/eyes on at all time, knowing they were safe and then they left. They were there for around 5 minutes at most. I am fully aware of my mistake but how Victoria handled the situation after was appalling. During a torturous 4-minute phone call, Victoria not only called me a liar and saying I was there unauthorized (even after I called prior) but also unleashed a relentless tirade, screaming at me and refusing to let me explain my mistake. During this call she attacked me personally on my character as well as my intelligence. Then proceeded to insult my mother as well. This level of unprofessionalism and disrespect is nothing short of appalling. I did not receive a warning about the mistake instead I was banned from using the facilities permanently over the phone in a ranting rage. The way Victoria berated me on the phone after I owned up to a mistake was nothing short of a character assassination. Here is a piece of advice as a business owner, know your customers and worry about the real problems you have in the gym, such as people misusing and damaging equipment, vaping inside your gym, and overall obnoxious behaviors.

Valley Fitness is a great gym all around. It has all the equipment one may need for a good workout. There's usually not that many people in the gym so it's not overcrowded and everybody's friendly. Staff is also friendly and amazing. This is my favorite gym that I've ever been a member of.
