I had 2 prior “experts” from large and popular HVAC repair businesses come out to repair our heater. One wanted to charge me $600 to replace a $24 part which I could have done myself. The other replaced 4 parts and it still didn’t work ( they charged only the service fee and took back their parts). Then Jacob came and in short order diagnosed and remedied the problem. He also fixed several other items.
I didn’t trust the first guy or the business that employed him. I don’t think the second guy knew enough ( he was always on the phone to the certified guy at his office- the new business model I suspect).
