“Tree Care-PruningWith all the rain, my Red Pin Oak tree grew incredibly the last two years. Vertically, it grew 12 feet! The tree was at 50 feet. And the canopy grew outwards 10-15 feet. It is so much easier to prune without leaves on it.So I started my search and research, I reached out to 6 companies via their online estimate request. Three did not respond at all. So they were thrown out. Do not have an online form if no one is going to answer it.Within 24 hours, I was contacted by three companies.I made sure that all the companies had a business license and Contractor’s license. (CSLB)By far the quickest and most thorough response was from Quality Tree Care Arborist. The office manager, Stephanie was very pleasant and excellent on follow up.She had Danny McGuire contact me within several hours. I stressed I wanted it done soon. Danny was prompt and let me know when he was getting close to my house. He spent 45 minutes looking at the tree since it so tall with huge branches.I gave him my goals to reduce the height and bring the canopy in. The tree is 58 years old.Danny got back to me in 4 hours with an estimate. It was not the lowest but the information on how they would accomplishment the pruning satisfied me without endangering my tree, my garden or my house.On Monday, the crew led by Andrew showed up and started work. The crew was very good. With Andrew, there were 4 members. Andrew was in the tree while another man had a 30 foot cutting pull and he was cutting lower limbs.Securely, Andrew cut the limbs with with a chainsaw. The big limbs were lowered to the ground by ropes. I am in awe at how they do it.Within 2.5 hours, the job was completed. They did a great job cleaning up.I can’t recommend this company enough. Great group of people.I was surprised that one company required a $150 deposit to come out and visit to give an estimate. The $150 deposit would be deducted from the total bill. I found this strange. Why would a company exclude itself from competition?Now I feel safe that a huge limb will not fall on my roof and my entire yard will not be totally shaded.They had a cancellation so the following“

“I got three quotes for the price to cut down a massive Acacia Tree in our backyard. The best quote was from Local Tree. Justine is the owner of the business and he is professional and gets the job done with no hassle. He and his crew arrived on time, completed the job, hauled all the debris away, and cleaned the area (yard and garage). I highly recommend using Local Tree for your arborist needs. When the newly planted tree gets big enough I plan to call Local Tree for the pruning.“

“My family and I just bought a house in the Oakland hills where we have a few Sequoia trees on our property. We've always had an HOA deal with our yard work, so we were completely clueless about trees.My Painter recommended ST after a storm came over and a bunch of dead branches fell on my roof. I went on their website and filled out their application. Sherri came over and inspected all of the trees on my property. She was on time, professional, very helpful and gave all the trees a clean bill of health. She even taught me what to look for in diseased trees.One of the Sequoias had a bunch of dead branches that had were caught by the larger branches at the larger, healthier branches near the base. We scheduled for her crew to come out and prune the tree.The crew was on time, professional and finished the job in the specified time. They also cleaned up the area very well. I couldn't even tell that they were there.Sexytrees will be our go-to for all of our tree health and maintenance needs. I highly recommend.(Picture is after the work was done. He gave us a thorough assessment of our trees (the reason for the consultation), and spent a lot of time discussing proper maintenance and management of our trees (ie importance of timing pruning with respect to the season). His fee was very reasonable compared to the other local arborists I reached out to, and he did not push unnecessary work. I did not do price comparisons because their price seemed reasonable based on my experience with tree trimming and cutting for some of my rental properties in a different area. C&W was very responsive. Came out for the quote immediately and had the work done within a week. I needed to leave unexpectedly so wasn't home when they came to do the job but the results were perfect -- just as discussed.“

They came, did an outstanding job, even cleaned up extra by blowing my entire patio. They are fast and everyone who works here is kind, respectful and just outstanding. “We had a huge dying/buckling mulberry tree in our backyard that was only about 15 feet away from the back of our house, so we needed professionals to come remove it. Darrell and his team did an amazing job. They were able to remove the tree without damaging anything. We even had a water faucet/pipe that was also very close to the tree and they took great care to make sure that didn’t get broken! After the tree was removed, they ground out the stump, and then cleaned up all the debris that was left behind. 10/10 job would highly recommend.“
