This urgent care is the best I have ever used. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The medical personnel are thorough, empathetic, and knowledgeable. The offices are clean and modern. Easy parking. I like that it's part of Grossmont Hospital - they have superior resources close at hand. You don't have to be a Sharp member to use this office; they take many other insurances.
I can't remember what time I arrived at the hospital care clinic but I know it was late evening. I was in excruciating pain and when I arrived...I was immediately guided to a room where they took a urine sample. The physician suggested I was probably suffering from a kidney stone and he gave me a special paper that enabled me to by-pass the waiting room in ER. I was taken to the X-Ray area and received a CT scan, which confirmed a kidney stone. I was ushered into the area with beds and within about 15 to 20 minutes, I received pain medication. I was released at around 4AM and had to endure more pain at home for another day, till I passed the kidney stone. Bottom line: I got the care I needed at Grossmont Care Clinic and it was a positive experience.
I would like to thank nurse Claire and Rachel for all the vital information they provided me with to stay alive while there for the last three days . I felt comfortable to talk to them even though my situation was sensitive for me and my family.
