Being in the Flat Glass Industry for the last 29 years I was fortunate enough to attend a 3 day seminar and take a tour of one of the largest flat glass manufacturers in the world. My coworkers and other invites attended a 3 day seminar on Glass Fundamentals which reviewed the history, optical, performance, fabrication. Installation of product offerings and the future of innovative glass products. We toured this plant which under the roof is just shy of one million square feet and witnessed the complete manufacturing process from raw materials that were formed into glass sheets which is called a float process.
