Please don’t come here, I got my hair braided Monday, I didn't like it but couldn’t speak up for myself I ended up calling them and telling them if I can come back so they can fix it … worst mistake… they did nothing to fix the issue I wasn’t offered anything I PAID 310 FOR NOTHING !! My braids are uneven, most of the braids are super lose it honestly just looks tacky and I’m so upset they did nothing to fix THEIR MISTAKE

Absolutely amazing! Lynda is a pro and everyone in her shop is sweet and really skilled! I love my hair. Jennifer did a great job with my color and styling as well. will be definitely be returning.

Kind of a pleasant environment. The braiders rush you when you're trying to describe the style you want. The website shows old basic Braids, nothing to wow about. One of the technicians who braided my hair told me I needed more hair for the hairstyle and it turned out I looked like a poodle dog, I mean big big hair. Lynda is behind on the latest Braids styles that cost should be the bomb. Sorry girl only in Irvine. Get help the Braids are all the same Ole braids

I was referred and found out about this place through a friend...1st time here and will NOT be returning. Made an appt online and you had to select a stylist. I selected "Becky". I even called to confirm the appt at 9am and stylist. Whoever i spoke to on the phone was in a hurry to get off the phone and rushed me. Fast forward i get to my appt THERE IS NO BECKY. So im wondering who will be doing my hair. The manager sends me over to a stylist named Lovey. Lovey was extremely unprofessional she kept leaving me in my chair walking off to talk to who i assumed was the manager. An hour has gone by and i only have TWO CORNROWS COMPLETED....ITS BEEN AN HOUR. I'm frustrated at this point but i dont say anything...until Lovey decided to stop braiding my hair gather all her things and walk off. She left me and walked out. The owner eventually ended up calling her and last i saw of her she was walking out of the salon to her car. Lovey was extremely rude and unprofessional and I will 100% not ever return so long as she is still working there. Personally i dont think she wanted to do box braids as they are more tedious but thats besides the fact and multiple people are jumping in to do my hair and add to her work. Maybe she didnt like that i dont know but i was excited to try this place and i have never in my 33 years on earth been to an all black salon. So it meant alot to me to come here. The manager and Lynda made things right and my hair came out fine but i will not be back especially after the way Lovey behaved. The daughter of the owner (younger girl in a bart simpson shirt and Christmas pj pants) who also assisted in braiding the ends of my hair was talking to her friend (who also was braiding the ends of my hair ??? And talking ALOT) flat out said "one time my Mom put me on braids and i purposely did a bad job braiding so she took me off."
Also alot of paitence is required getting your hair braided here as there are multiple people doing your box braids. Lots of other places in OC to get braids do your research!

I'd like to think that I'm fair in posting reviews so believe me when I say I was happy to find (and support)a black owned hair business in Irvine. I am a creature of habit and get the same style everytime I visit. However each time I visit, the price has gradually increased. First $80, then $90, then $110, $120 and yesterday $145 (I have the receipts to back this up). 5 stars for the nice ladies that work there, -10 stars for "whatever I feel" pricing.
Simply put this is price gouging and I won't be back. Shady.
