I credit Hoag Urgent Care in Irvine, CA with saving my life. I arrived there late one evening with the sudden onset of difficulty breathing. My lungs sounded clear, ECG and chest X-ray showed no abnormality, and being one who minimizes symptoms, I would have agreed if I had been told I could go home. But the doctor (I really wish I could remember her name) was convinced something serious was going on and I needed to have a CT scan right away. She was insistent that it couldn’t wait until morning. She even wrote out what I needed to tell the ER to insure that I was seen immediately. As it turns out, her instincts were correct and I was in a life threatening situation. I received the necessary treatment and should make a full recovery within the next several weeks.
