I called to arrange a diagnosis on our Rinnai tankless water heater. The person who booked the call was excellent. They scheduled a technician between 9:00 and 11:00 am within a couple of days. They called me at about 9:00 to tell me the technician was on the way. Mike showed up 20 minutes later and did a very professional diagnosis. The company sent me a quote for the repair very quickly.
After going two days with no hot water, waiting for two different plumbers and nobody showed up. I finally called best choice I talked to someone named Steve he said he would have someone out first thing in the morning and I'll be damned if they didn't show up right on time. The young man was very knowledgeable/professional and had everything on his truck. I was very impressed at how clean and fast he was able to do it. I was able to use my hot water the same day. I would highly recommend best choice water heaters.
This is a provisional four-star review. Super helpful on the phone. They started off advising me on what I could try myself. So, I tried and it turned out that I needed a part that I couldn't get for weeks. So, I call them out. They schedule for 9-10AM and had to delay TWICE, ending up arriving a little after 3PM. That's fine. It happens. They take a look to assess and conclude what I had already concluded. Now here's where the review gets a little more nuanced. 1. The part I needed is $16 on amazon, but wouldn't be available for two weeks. They offered to replace it for $110. Fine. Part plus service call. I can swing that. 2. I had received a quote from another company for the same repair PLUS a clearning. That quote was $650. Ridiculous. Best Choice offered to do it for a total of $410 (repair + cleaning). Obviously much better. However, the cleaning consisted of little more than blowing the unit out with air, and unscrewing some components for access. Total time for repair +service = 30 minutes. I'm grateful that they were able to help us before other companies could. I'm also grateful that they did it for less. But $410 for a $16 part and 30 mins of work is a lot to me. Potential customers can make up their own minds.
