So my first appointment, with Dr. Karissa Chow, went very well. Unfortunately I was back in the hospital when it was time for the follow-up appt., and now I wait to see someone else at the end of this month. I don't really like having to change from one doctor to another because my primary doctor doesn't have an appointment for the next two or three months. This is insurance driven, I'm sure, but it isn't right. There should be appointments available on a regular basis for follow-ups, after-hospitalization, and for urgent matters that don't require the ED. If we are going to be forced to choose a doctor without any opportunity to pre-interview even the doctor's staff, we deserve to have the same doctor more than once. O/w get rid of the "primary doctor" fiction.
