We are absolutely thrilled with the work Kurt and Gus from Handy Home Improvement did to extend our third-level floor and create a loft space in our condo.

Their craftsmanship and attention to detail are exceptional. They transformed our previously unused space into a beautiful and functional loft that has completely changed the feel of our home.

We just finished a big project with Kurt / Handy Home Improvement. We are so happy with how everything turned out! I agree with all the detailed, positive feedback from other Yelp reviewers. Kurt has excellent attention to detail and a great eye for design. He also has a terrific group of folks he brings to the job - his son Gus, architect Mike, electrician Ed, drywaller Randy, designer Michelle, the list goes on. We wanted to update and remodel the kitchen and we are so glad we found Kurt through a referral. He helped us every step of the way and there were a lot of steps! We now have an amazing open floor plan downstairs, beautiful brand new kitchen with a huge island, custom cabinets (Norm) and quartz countertops, no more popcorn ceilings or sunken living room, all new lighting, laminate floors, even a new front door. All his work is high quality and the final product is even better than we expected!Highly recommend!!

Kurt Gerum and his team have helped us update our house. In 2016 they remodeled our bathrooms, in 2019 they updated the outside of our house, and at the end of 2020 they updated our kitchen and living room. Kurt redesigned the layout of our kitchen, taking out a peninsula and adding an island. He raised the ceiling in both the kitchen and hallway, and widened our door ways to make the place feel more open. Kurt also reframed the fireplace and added an accent wall in the living room, updated the lighting, and changed out the flooring throughout the house. No one is more trustworthy than Kurt. He is meticulous and does this work for the right reasons always thinking through every detail to ensure that the final product is excellent. We are so grateful to have found a contractor that means what he says; he has become like family to us.
