Jessica is the owner, and takes her time, even after working all day starting at 5 in the morning. She is very friendly, gives great service, works hard, makes you feel comfortable, and really knows what she is doing as she's been doing this for many years before opening her own space. I recommend this place, I only come here!“

When I moved out to Highland in 1998, I had settled in a nail shop in the local Walmart plaza..until I discovered they gave me a nail fungus! Note - that place is no longer in business. After that, I found another shop that treated me right for a good long time, until it had changed owners several times and made me feel rushed the last couple years I was there. I knew it was time for a change, but I just didn't know where to go..And then I discovered 1st Nails! They are conveniently located on Baseline across from City Hall in a little plaza. And let me tell you... this shop is AMAZING!!! They do several types of nail treatments. They do acrylic, gel...and a new type that I am absolutely in love with called a dip nail treatment. It's stronger your normal acrylic nails, easier on the fingers and instead of needing a refill every two weeks I can now go every 3 to 4 weeks and my nails still look wonderful. The polish does not smear, chip or rub and stays perfect the entire time!Note. They are by appointment only. It's a small shop but they give you that personal touch every time. They also do pedicures. The owners are very personable. Shane runs the business end and his husband Ben does the nails, and you just can't go wrong with them. They are very honest and amazing and will make you feel welcome every time.5 stars easily! Would give them more if I could!"“

“I had a very wonderful experience with Anna Saturday June 20th at 11am she did an outstanding job on my hair which leads me to my daughter's experience the day before with a male named Manny I believe whom did her hair 3pm and did not do well feeling like a waste of money for my daughter compared to the Superstar treatment Anna gave! I feel bad for my daughter because Manny has a zero star review with hairmask/ haircut of which was the same treatments we received but from different people my hair was way worth the money my daughter's was not so I know this is negative for Manny but even so reviews have to be made i feel my daughter was to be Satisfied with her service. I feel bad for her being Supersatisfied with my service and I just want her to feel the same but Manny did not achieve that goal as Anna was above & beyond. I am not happy to give negative review to individual person but my daughter's unhappiness leaves me no choice than posting truth! YOU ROCK ANNA !“

“Helen is very detailed and takes her time. She always goes an extra mile to make sure her customers are satisfied. She’s clean and thorough. If you’re looking for a fancy nail shop this place is not for you. It’s a hidden gem ‘hole in the wall’ sort of place. The prices are literally the best in the whole area fyi. Basic Pedicures are $25.00 this includes the scrub! The massage is wonderful. She ALWAYS removes the skin on the sides of my nail beds- something No other place will do. You just have to call her ahead of time to make an appointment because she’s the only person here that does the work. Her dad works here for doing basic haircuts. He’s very reasonable as well.
