I am a Director of Engineering. I have used City Mechanical at several properties over the past 15 years. Russ is great to deal with. I have consistently used this company because once I call them I no longer have to worry about the problem, they make the repairs on time and correctly every time. Are they the cheapest company out there? No, but do you really want the cheapest HVAC contractor in the book working on your home or business? I certainly do not. I have read some of the negative reviews and find them hard to believe based upon my years of experience with City Mechanical. I've had a few experiences with City Mechanical, as my condo building's resident engineer recommended this company, as they've done work in our building. Our condos here use a commercial HVAC system in each unit, so requires some specialized repair. Over the last 12 years, they've been here for two 5-year services and one repair. One of the five-year services felt very cursory and it felt like a 15-minute quickie for several hundred dollars, but that was many years ago. More recently I've had to repair my HVAC due to some issue with the circuitry and they did a good job of diagnosing and repairing a weird issue without too much cost ($700-ish, which, for this issue, seemed...read full review
