This is my second membership with Equinox. My first lasted from 2014 to 2019, ending around the pandemic. Many of us had to let our memberships go because we refused to get vaccinated, and we're glad we trusted our instincts.
Returning has been different. With this second membership, Equinox and its many locations no longer function as a membership club that happens to specialize in fitness. Now it operates like a gym, and the extra perks don't matter anymore. One of the biggest perks was customer service, and that is completely gone. The service agents now treat members however they want.
Well-maintained and has an outdoor lap pool, steam rooms, and saunas. But to me, the biggest assets are the trainers. It’s not just their training expertise, but their anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology backgrounds.
Jad’a Littlejohn has seen me through a major surgery, sprains, crazy work schedules, and he’s adapted my programming to meet my goals AND my limitations at that moment. He’s got this mental map of muscles, ligaments, and tendons that he refers to when I point to a place that’s sore and can guide me to the right stretches or movements to gently coerce my body into recovery.
Cleanliness is superb… STAFFS ARE AMAZING….Please take out those idle cardio machines and change to more strength training machines! Been a member for many years but the machine are outdated and sometimes not working! Kinda embarrassed to recommend to my friends to join the club as the strength training machines are limited and outdated!!! Please invest to a new machines ….!!
