West County Health Centers, Inc. is a private, non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center, providing comprehensive, quality, and accessible health care services to the communities of western Sonoma County. WCHC strives to provide a medical home for patients, ensuring that they experience continuity of care and have a secure place to come for all of their medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare needs at 7 sites. The organization is governed by a dedicated consumer and community-led Board of Directors. Patients praise the staff at WCHC for their partnership in helping them achieve optimal health. Many have struggled with understanding their medical issues and felt truly listened to, problem-solved with, and successfully diagnosed and treated, regaining their sense of well-being. The practitioners are described as deeply committed to their work, making it a calling. Additionally, the behavioral and mental health support offered, including a DBT program and individual sessions, is highlighted as amazing. Russian River Health dental clinic is a complete make-over. Our ACA and tax dollars at work. Whatever they are doing, West County Health Centers should be used as a model for single payer health care nationwide.

This office just sucks. No communication between front desk and drs. The dr kept asking me the same question over and over and i kept having to repeat myself. I've been coming here on and off for years out of necessity but the only good experience I had was with Dr stone, and she was a traveling dr, so she is no longer there. She's the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. If i could taste them 0 i would. I've been in their waiting room and they have totally ignored me and let me sit there for over 15 minutes before saying hello or checking me in. One medical assistant told me years ago a floating bone fragment might be cancer in my arm. The medical staff tell you one thing, then someone calls you a few days later and says the complete opposite. The dr i spoke with today seems like he is new and has no idea what he is doing he hummed and hawwed through the entire phone appointment. They try to sweep their miscommunication under the rug rather than taking any ownership and apologizing for their back and forth and their information not logging up with one another and they talk over you on the phone. They don't make you feel like you're being "cared" for. Its really disappointing. The miscommunication is horrible i honestly cannot stress that enough. Go to Santa Rosa for your medical needs of you can. Its much better than this place. They're a mess!
I became a California resident and I live near Guerneville. I like the idea of being part of my local community and supporting local businesses. And traveling to facilities in Santa Rosa seemed ridiculous since such a nice facility was located practically in my back yard! I am so glad I chose WCHC. The staff have partnered with me for the last year to get my health in tip top shape. I was struggling to understand what was happening to my body and I truly was listened to, problem solved with, and finally diagnosed and treated successfully and feel like I have my life and body back on track to enjoy my next 50 years!
