I wanted to find a loctician that could support me on the journey of cultivating my hair, supporting its growth, and allowing it to flourish with time. I understand the importance of the energy exchange between client and stylist, and I wanted to attract one into my life that was grounded, down-to-earth, had locs themselves, and would be a support system along the way. That’s exactly what I found with Mankin. He is easy-going, thoughtful, and kind. He never speaks negatively of my crown (which I’ve encountered numerous times in the past being a loose natural and having relaxed hair). He inspires me to see the potential in my hair when it's hard for me to see it myself.I have been loc'd now for 3 years, and my hair has flourished. My growth in such a shorter period is astounding, and my hair is the healthiest it has ever been! Throughout this 3-year journey, the perimeter of my hair was so restored that we were able to cultivate 4 new locs at my hairline, 3 of which are now fully matured and one that bloomed in July and is still in its baby stage.
