I was staying a friend here in isla vista. I needed a haircut so I looked at yelp. The first shop that popped out was Goodland. I came here and was welcomed by all the barbers and felt very welcomed. Rick had cut my hair and he was amazing. I didn't feel rushed and the haircut I got exceeded my expectations. Totally recommend this place and make sure you go to Rick!

Old school barbershop with new school vibe. Great crew of younger guys with skills and excellent service. You can walk in or make an appointment and you will definitely leave here looking and feeling better than when you came. Gabe and Rick always treat you like gentlemen.

Many years later and in the midst of a pandemic this place is still the best in Goleta IMHO. I understand the challenges we're all dealing with but of all the other barbershops around this area Goodland Barber Shop is still the best. I tried closer ones along Hollister and in the strip malls but the staff always seemed to have a chip on their shoulders. In some cases they were downright rude when you walked in the door. I drove out to Goodland and it's still the awesome place I remember. It is definitely worth the extra 10 minutes to drive there as far as I'm concerned. Don't waste your time trying other places, go to Goodland where they respect your time and your business!
