I saw Dr Tawansy on 8/29/25, and am still waiting to hear back from the office staff regarding the date of my procedure. I have a skin tag on my eyelid that is getting bigger and hangs down obscuring my vision. While I understand this is not urgent, it is very bothersome. The doctor said someone would call me in 7-10 days but no one has. I've left voice mail messages for the Surgery Scheduler and also called to leave written messages to no avail. It has been almost 4 weeks since my appointment and when I called my insurance a few days ago to ask the status of the authorization, I was told there was nothing on file. Dr. very rushed. Did not spend time to explain my high eye pressure. Front office is terrible about returning calls if you leave a voicemail. They rarely answer if you call during business hours. When I was in the waiting room a very elderly couple physically had to come in to make an appointment. I overheard them say they had left 3 voicemails and no one called them back. The Dr. prescribed an eye drop that my pharmacy could not get (there was a known industry shortage). The pharmacy left a message so he could prescribe a substitute, he did not call them back. Pharmacy called him again, he did not call back. Pharmacy called him a 3rd time, he did not call them back. I would not trust my health to this office. I switched to another ophthalmologist and will NEVER going back.
I drove to the address provided and saw a sign for the business and on the door it said permanent closed. I went home and waited for the phone lines to open only to be told it was a different suite. I was never given a suite number. I felt the people were incompetent. You would think the close suite should have directed people to the proper suite.
