I've been extremely impressed with Wendy and her team at North Star Families. They set the standard for child and family work in Los Angeles. There is a high level of professionalism and care and their work is underpinned by a solid theoretical foundation of attachment, depth psychology, and reflective parenting. I appreciate that they take on challenging cases where there is a high level of trauma or stress. They are warm, genuine, heart-centered people who truly care and invest themselves in the work. I feel really good whenever I refer clients and friends to North Star.

New U Therapy came to my aid just in time! Getting help for mental illness and substance use disorders is never an easy prospect. It can be embarrassing and nobody wants to admit defeat. In the process of finding help New U was referred to me by UCLA psych department and I have to say I'm so grateful. With the initial intake from Hannah and my many phone conversations with their team including Cherise, I am on my way to a new life. My physician assistant Marco helped me with an initial assessment and I know I'm in good hands. I feel seen and accepted for who I am. Some treatments I could afford and some I could not but the team is willing to work with me. They got me me an appointment right away and a follow up and now I feel like I can breathe again. Life is tough these days and we all need help, the staff at New U are ready and willing to help . Sometimes surrendering is the best medicine.
