“4 years ago, I drove 7 hours to SIS & SIS to get my ombré powder brows done.
This past weekend October 11th and 12th made that same 7 hour drive again, but this time to attend the two day Ombré Powder Brow training with the best in the industry!

I truly loved every part of the experience from being able to work on a live model to learning from my instructor who was incredibly patient and thorough. The course was well structured, detailed, and hands on and I’m beyond grateful for what I learned.

“I found out about Micro Beauty Mark a year ago on social media and did my research. Diana has a very light and gentle touch, she is very professional and very clean, she also plays good music that relaxes you, she would not let me see my brows until she was done with both and OMG the results I fell in love with the new look. She gave me the exact look that I was looking for and then some, my family and friends love the new me and they all say that I look much younger. Diana gave me a care-at-home kit and scheduled me to come back for my touch-up appointment the care kit explains to you day by day what to expect as far as the healing process, trust the process in the end the results are the best. “The owner Hugo, was extremely kind. I called in when the shop was closed. He was in the area and met up with me, unlocked the door and began setting up. He was super polite to my mom too. I had to come in actually for an urgent sacred tattoo. He understood the importance, spiritually, and he worked with me printing out multiple sizes, letting me pick the best and largest size. Additionally he had the cutest little chihuahua dog, he was wearing clothes too. I'm sorry I didn't come back with all the crystals I was going to give you! “My favorite Korean hair stylist has been on a hiatus and I have been on the hunt for someone else to entrust with my hair the past few months. Every time my hair reaches the point where it starts poking my eyes, I have made the decision these past few months to try different highly rated Korean hair salons and stylists to figure out where and who can work with my hair. Since it was my first time at RT7 salon, I made the splurge to book with the kind CEO and lady-running-the-show, Scarlett. I've had my fair share of cheap barber cuts to high-end salons throughout my hair journey and come to realize that the risk of a irreversible botched haircut and the weeks of low self esteem that follow are not worth cheapening out on! Remember folks, quality over quantity! I've collected several pictures of specific traits of what I wanted in my hair cut (one picture for bang parting and length, one picture for sideburns, one picture for curl intensity for my perm, one picture for the back etc) as well as consulting with Scarlett and her years of experience on what she thinks would suit my face and head shape. During the whole experience of my cut and perm, Scarlett and her team were efficient and thorough. While Scarlett also had other customers to tend to, she made sure that no-one was neglected and promptly set timers to make sure the job gets done for everyone. While waiting for the perm solution to set it, I was given complimentary refreshing cold filtered water and snacks. At the end, my hair was shampooed and was blowdried and further cut and adjusted until I was satisfied. My hair came out exactly the way I wanted and the fact that it came out much better than I expected is what made this experience worth it. I have tried Korean hair salons in Irvine, Buena Park and even in Gangnam (in South Korea) by stylists who were well-recognized in their respective fields and who actively work with idols/actors in the Korean industry. I can confidently say that Scarlett's skills are exactly up to par with these industry experts and I am happy to find someone and somewhere who just...knows! I hope Scarlett never quits and if she ever decides to, please please teach your prodigies everything you know because I don't want another hairstylist breakup!“

“I like Ahn's work. I think she is very good at what she is doing, she knows what style works for you. I am pretty new to permanent make-up so sometime I am not sure what style I want, but I usually go with natural. My eyes are a bit uneven - it's normal though - but she did a good job styling the eyeliner. “I came here to wash my hair and I really like it here. Relaxing space, small but warm. Erica - the owner is wonderful and very friendly. She washed my hair very well and the massage was impeccable. She takes good care of me and cares about my feelings. That's great. I will introduce my friends to come here to experience. I wash my hair normally for $35 (but there's also a massage included) - very cheap and worth the experience. She also packages hair shampoo to help you save more money. I encourage you to pay attention to it. A place worth experiencing - worth trusting and worth relaxing.“

“?‍♀️ $40 Hair Glow-Up at a Hidden Vietnamese Salon in Garden Grove?! YES please!

So my hair got way too long and I stumbled across a post on Instagram about a Vietnamese salon next to Arirang Supermarket. I figured if it turns out bad, I’ll just grow it out again ? so I walked right in without an appointment.

Right away, Lona greeted me. I asked about the price first and she said women’s haircut $20, and cut + shampoo + blow-dry + styling all together only $40. I literally thought she meant $40 each. NOPE, it’s $40 total. Irvine salons are crying right now because I’ve paid $70+ before for just a trim.

She led me to wash my hair, and it’s the traditional way where you lie down, they actually scrub your scalp like they mean it, not just “rinse and go.” She even pulled up a little chair so my legs could stretch out. Shampooed twice, conditioner, a little massage — all for $20?! My only mini complaint: the water pressure was a bit strong and splashed on my face, but honestly, I didn’t mind much.

Then came the haircut. She asked my preferences, confirmed the length, then snip, super clean and confident! She did layers and thinning exactly how I wanted. And get this: she blow-dried my hair using two blow dryers at once. Auntie‘s got skills.

She even styled my bangs and curled them a bit, then offered to take photos for me like a proud stylist auntie. The end result? My hair felt lighter, bouncier, and honestly way better than I expected for forty bucks.

And when I asked about coloring, she said $25 for 1-inch root touch-up, $70 for full color. I mean, at this point I’m ready gonna come back to try the coloring.

Bonus points: Men’s haircut = $10!!
They also do Vietnamese-style shampoo, mani/pedi, lashes, and waxing, basically it’s literally a one stop beauty salon.
