If you hate the drive to Cerritos to get Indian Groceries then look no further. Visit your local grocery store "Little India". Everything you need from rice, daal, masalas, drinks, snacks, etc etc is all available here and for a reasonable and cheaper price than the big branded stores in Cerritos. The owner Kanwar Robin is an amazing human being and his customer service skills is exceptional. Whenever I need anything I can ask him and he is always there to assist. If a certain brand is not available he will advise on an alternative brand as a temporary option and will keep me posted once the supply is available on the brand I did need. I have never been disappointed with my grocery purchase and with it being so local catering to North OC - Brea/Placentia/Fullerton/Yorba Linda areas it's just so practical as I can always hop in even if I wanted 1 item or 20 items. During various Indian festivals they also sell items related to those festivals. Please support this local business and I guarantee you will love it.
I'm not Indian, but I do make Indian dishes about twice a month. I already had a lot of spices, but got a new cookbook that listed even more hard-to-find ingredients that would have cost a fortune from buying on the internet. Just so you know, Amazon builds in shipping costs into their prices, so those spices you're buying will be a fraction of the cost if shopping in person. Your local Indian grocery is definitely the best way to go. The store is a little less tidy than the pictures posted from the grand opening, but it's not hard to find what you're looking for. It's tiny, but had almost everything I needed. I was able to find cinnamon sticks, dried curry leaves, frozen fenugreek leaves, allspice berries, turmeric, whole nutmeg, Indian (cassia) bay leaves, whole mace, black salt, carom seeds, whole garam masala, Kashmiri chili powder, and mango chutney. The portions are large and the prices are very good. There's also lots of rice, grains, nuts, legumes, snacks, pickles, dairy, and some fresh produce (mint, Indian eggplants, okra, ginger, etc.). There's also plenty of parking, though the street is busy and it's a little nerve wracking to make a left turn out of there at rush hour. I'll just make sure to come a little earlier in the day next time.
Lovely store. Reasonable pricing. I really love getting my eyebrows done here. I have tried different places and nothing was as perfect as here. No pain at all and she is absolutely professional.
