I have a daughter (4) in the kid program and a son (11) in the Jr program. They love the Aikido! Warm up with bear or crab, then there is a lesson on Aikido or Japanese culture, and finally a game. They bow in and out of the mat. The sensei is super patient and kind, while still seeking respect from the kids. Our children have been going about a year and have come a long way. Pictures are from their last belt test, held bi-yearly.

I trained in this location briefly because I moved unfortunately. What I can say is the instructor is great welcoming and will truly break down the techniques to your level. Had I not moved I would still be training there.

If you're looking to learn classical Aikido in the Fresno area, this is the place. Chris Hein is the head instructor and has devoted his life to studying the martial arts in general, with a focus on all the aspects of Aikido (weapons as well as taijustsu). He and assistant instructor Josh Tehee are not only skilled, but great teachers who love what they do. My whole family has trained here - both Aikido and self-defense and it's been great.
