I'm a Bay Area veteran but recently moved to the Central Valley last year. This was my first time going to the Stockton clinic (still at their old location) and it was great. It be never met such lively and fun staff before at a VA. Everyone was fun, telling jokes, and so kind. Each person was so helpful and answered all my questions about transferring over to their clinic from the Bay Area. I'm looking forward to their new location opening. It looks so nice.

There are just a few extraordinary moments in our lives that are surrounded by a doctor and a hospital. These moments capture our needs for the best care as human beings. As veterans, there is a necessity to fit the healthcare needs that are inclusive to our military service and our military experiences that are often unsaid and unknown. VA hospitals and clinics exists to provide these unique healthcare needs, and to provide medical services and attention to healthcare maintenance and preventive healthcare. Moreover, Veterans Administration hospitals and clinics understand and address our mental and physical wellness! The VA clinics in the French Camp/Stockton area are among those extraordinary healthcare staff, nurses, practitioners, and physician that are dedicated beyond measures!

Having heard all the negative publicity that the VA Med system in general has been getting, i had to investigate how other Veterans felt about their treatment ( in all senses of the word ) by the VA Medical team. The ones locally were very positive about the local VA Med clinics and centers. A few commented that they think some of the bad publicity could mainly be about the older Medical Centers in the big cities in the Eastern part of the USA. With those evaluations, I slowly felt out the process of getting back within the fold and finally got a new very modern VA ID card ( still have me old typewriter written VA card ... 8 Helvetica type ) and eventually I met with Admin staff who held a class for the newbies, then I soon met me Nurse and Dr.. I was very pleased with the courtesy and professional treatment of me Nurse and Dr ... I must say that I have had a few Primary Care Doctors in a few very well known Private Hospitals who never did, or are yet to invest converstation time with me, or even TO PUT A STETHASCOPE to me chest ... I don't have Cooties. But the French Camp affirmed the viewpoints of the Vets that I talked to prior to my involvement back into the fold. Robert
