Although they are very nice people, they cost me a lot of money by selling me progressive glasses that had the wrong prescription after two separate eye exams. After having my eyes tested at Kaiser on 11/30/2022, I realized that an astigmatism and far sightedness was bad enough to warrant glasses. So, I went to the Eye Center in Folsom on 10/27/2023 and saw Dr. Mahnoush. After her exam, I ordered progressive glasses, costing me over $500. When the glasses came in, I couldn't see well at all with them. Dr. Mahnoush re-examined my eyes and changed my prescription. She told me they couldn't correct my vision completely. When I received my new glasses, they were better but I still couldn't see clearly. On March 28th, I went to Alto Optometry in Folsom, per my wife's recommendation. Dr. Alto examined my eyes and was able to accurately dial my prescription in perfectly. He even made up some test glasses with my prescription and allowed me to look around the building to verify their accuracy. I could finally see clearly. He looked at the prescription I received from the Eye Center in Folsom and said they didn't give me nearly enough Sphere correction (+2.00,+3.25 vs. +.75, +1.25) and Cylinder (-1.25,-2.25 vs. -.50, -.75). I seriously wondered if my eyes had changed THAT much over a 16 month period of time, until I found the prescription that Kaiser gave me in November 2022 and saw that it was very close to the one I received last week from Dr. Alto! They both got it right while the Eye Center got it completely wrong, TWICE! I had to re-order progressive lenses for the frames I bought from the Eye Center just a few months ago, at a cost of nearly $500. Needless to say, my experience with the Eye Center cost me a lot of money and months of wearing incorrect lenses. I would not waste your money going here. Again, very nice people but horrible results.

It's fine. It was much better before the corporate buyout. Now you hardly see a doctor - a tech does nearly everything. There is no longer price matching. I was able to save $120 on my co-pay by getting the prescription and taking to Costco. They used to price match but now everything is serving the investors pockets rather than taking care of the customer.

They seriously need to work on their customer service. I ordered a pair of prescription glasses 3 weeks ago and still waiting. Each time I call to try to get a status update on when I might finally have my glasses, I get put on hold and I am told that an optician will contact me to give me an ETA, but no one ever calls. When I asked the receptionist if I should come down to the office to get some service, she told me I would be wasting my time because they are too busy. After I get my glasses, I am not coming back ever again.Update: I was finally contacted by their staff with updates on my glasses.
