I want to start off and say that Lindsey is a good seamstress and a very nice person. I'm happy with the work she did to my dress. However, her time management leaves something to be desired. I took my dress in on August 27th to get the sleeves of my dress shortened and pockets added. She gave me a timeline of a couple weeks which I was happy with. When I arrived to my appointed time in September, I learned it was only for a fitting to get the sleeves sized, which I felt was odd because she pinned the sleeves when I first took in my dress. I was told it would be another two weeks for my dress to be finished, which again I was okay with. I messaged her on October 3rd because that's the day she said the dress would be done at the latest so I was expecting to pick it up that day. She said it wasn't done yet it would be done by next Tuesday the 8th. On Tuesday I messaged her for a good time to come in and pick it up but was told it still wasn't ready but should be done by the next day or Thursday at the latest. I was eager to get my dress as I had an event that weekend that I wanted to wear it to. The next day I messaged her towards the end of the day for an update since she mentioned it might be done that day. She messaged back that it wasn't ready, it will be tomorrow, and to not message her as she will reach out to me when it's ready. Thursday and Friday went by with no message from her. On Saturday I sent her a message asking after the dress since my event was on Sunday but I got no response. Monday, the same thing, no response. Tuesday I again messaged her as I was really frustrated at this point. Not only was I told multiple times that my dress would be ready for my event but she didn't even reach out when she knew she wouldn't be ready by then. I finally got a message back on Tuesday that my dress was done and would be ready to be picked up on Thursday the 17th, two weeks after the date originally quoted to me. On Thursday I woke up to a message saying she was stuck in Redway waiting for a part for one of her sewing machines and I would have to wait until Friday. Today I went to pick up my dress and to my surprise it wasn't even finished. The sleeves were done but not the pockets. I'm just so disappointed, she had my dress for almost 2 months and didn't even complete it. Now I need to take it elsewhere to get the pockets done which means I'll be without my dress for even longer. Reading through her other reviews it seems like time management isn't her strongest suit and I can't imagine how she manages to run a business like this. If she had originally told me it would take 6 weeks then fine, I would have understood, but the constant back and forth and pushing of the due date was ridiculous and so unprofessional. The work she did was good so I'm not knocking her skills and if you have all the time in the world to wait for your garments then she'll do good work but if you're on a time crunch then I'd suggest going elsewhere. I'm sorry to Lindsey, she's a nice person and lovely to talk to and I understand life happens and dates get pushed back but this experience just put a bad taste in my mouth.
The bodice of my wedding dress needed to be taken in quite a bit, and Lindsey made it perfect! She worked fast and had a flexible schedule for the fittings. For the last fitting she stayed late to accommodate my schedule. She was friendly and fun to work with as well and took the time to give my mom tips on her mother of the bride dress. I am very satisfied with the service and grateful to Lindsey!
The BEST PLACE to get your clothes altered. It might take some time, but that's because it's quality. Everything always come out perfect and you'd never even know it was altered.
