We love the owner. Will is a world-class historian and storyteller who fascinates the three generations of my family with incredible facts of local history. We stop by this shop every summer on the way to the Sierras. It is always a treat. Will makes it a magical place!

It was a delightful experience visiting this charming store. The owner, Mr. Heck, cheerfully shared interesting histories about some of the merchandise. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area.

Great shop and a lot of treasure in Heck of a Deal Mercantile. The owner knows his stuff and there’s a lot of story behind the items. Walked out with a bunch of vintage ornaments that you won’t find any where else. He curates his store so well and occasionally some cats to greet ya behind the counter. Definitely learned a lot of history talking with the owner and seeing some cool items from previous generations.
