I'm in LA often and for a long period and I prefer to have my hair straight for low maintenance. On one of my long walks, I was able to talk to Sandy and she gave me her card to make an appointment. I did call and left a message to make my appointment. The owner's husband called me to set it up. However, from talking to her, she recommends to message her via Instagram @809dominicanbeautycenter for appointments. While I was there, my aunt decided to also get her hair done. She really washed our hair thoroughly. We opted for deep conditioning. Then she set our hair in rollers, blew it out when it was dried and trimmed our ends. Super friendly and professional. I had a great experience for the first time there. It’s been difficult finding a Dominican salon in California. I love the care and time Sandy took to bring my hair back to health.

I love it here! I'm from the east coast and always went to Dominican Salons back east. When moving to Cali I was worried about who would do my hair. And now I've found my "hair's home" away from home. I love Sandy! So sweet and damn good at getting my hair LAID! Okay! I drive from Pasadena in traffic just to get my hair done and I have no complaints! Come try her out once and you'll be hooked. And don't forget to get the special conditioner, it's magic!!!
