We hosted a photo meet up here a few days ago. This is a great place to grab some awesome photos. Family shoot portraits or some fun landscapes. There’s so much to see and shoot here. I visited in the fall for the first time and I have to say fall is by far the best time of the year to visit. Great cool weather. Beautiful fall colors and it’s not nearly as crowded as it gets in the spring and fall. I will be back again soon for sure!

First time attending the water Lantern festival at Gibson lake. Traffic was a bit chaotic. Had memorable night remembering loved ones. Lanterns on the lake were magical. Beautiful night Fun family food music and photo options. Will definitely go again, but much earlier to try and avoid single lane traffic.Picnic area: Plenty of picnic table for a family and friends. Yummy local food trucks.

Sacramento Water Lantern Festival 2023 ✨️Spreading love and joy ?Live music, lantern decorating, and many food trucks to choose from !Come early and stay late. Be prepared with chairs, blankets, and bug spray.I also learned that you can bring an ice chest and a small table.There are picnic tables available, but they fill up quickly
