The rescue also assists with medical care, as seen when they paid for surgery to help an injured calico with a badly injured front arm and most of her tail through their Elf Fund. Many fostered cats, like Cricket, have found loving homes after being rescued from outdoor conditions. The staff is dedicated and professional, making the adoption process smooth and full of love. Additionally, Fat Kitty City offers food supplies for pets, helping owners keep their cats and dogs happy and healthy. The Fat Kitty City Humane Society is by far the best organization I have worked with for the rescue of kitties in need. The team has been incredibly responsive and provided much needed guidance and support. While I know they cannot take every kitty in need, they do a stellar job of providing guidance and recommendations for options. My family was in a dire situation and when they could not assist during that time, they stayed in contact and followed up with us. On the advice of my veterinarian in Reno, NV, I was suggested to visit Fat Kitty City to try to find a match for my rescued cat so that he could have a friend. My vet told me that, through FKC's fostering network, they might be able to match an animal to my needs as I am older and no longer have the energy to chase young cats around the house to keep everyone entertained. The advice was spot-on as I was matched with Bakugo, a similar-aged cat to Sylvester and they became fast, rough-housing buddies.
