I've been going to Herman and Rosa for about 3 years now, they've helped to reshape and refine my wardrobe in a bit way. I've taken almost all of my wardrobe to them at this point, to reimagine old pieces and to customize new ones. I only wear vintage and archival pieces, and seek out slightly larger sizes knowing I can bring them to Herman and Rosa to be tailored. From my vintage t-shirts to tapering my pants, changing the fit on my jeans and even repairing vintage coats of mine- I love going to see Herman and Rosa to get my pieces customized perfectly for my size. They provided a quick turn around with a more than reasonable timeline for all repairs. I always call ahead when I plan to drop things off or go to pick them up. He shortens all my pants as I can't get any off the rack, but I also brought in a jacket to get the zipper fixed, which he offered to do for free. I gave him $10 but he only accepted five. The guy's a good tailor and more than fair.
