The veterinarians, including Dr. Hare, are welcoming, knowledgeable, and take the time to answer questions, making owners feel at ease. The staff is efficient and helpful, and Dr. Lu was especially nice and helpful with a customer's 3-month-old Chihuahua pups, providing a lot of good information and being willing to accommodate the customer's desire for a more holistic approach. The vets are amazing and take their time to make the animals feel comfortable, and they bring in outside specialists if needed. Customers have been satisfied with the care their pets, including dogs, cats, a bearded dragon, and a ball python, have received, and they praise the compassionate service and the excellent care provided by Dr. Rebecca DeCastellanos for a customer's Chameleon.

Brought my two cats in for an emergency appointment. The staff here were very helpful, kind, reassuring, and understanding. They were very reassuring with my obviously stressed girls. They walked me thru the medication details in a comprehensive but not deemening way. They also have payment plans available in case of emergencies. Over all, a very reassuring experience, given my worries.
Dr Rebecca DeCastellanos is the best veterinarian. She has taken such good care of my rabbits including my special needs bunny named Toes. Toes has unique issues with her foot and Dr D is always willing to try new approaches to make Toes the best she can be. Dr D is not only brilliant in her field but she is extremely kind. We are lucky to have her. The staff and vet techs at VCA Rancho San Diego are equally amazing. They are so knowledgeable in exotics —a rarity in San Diego county. They always make me and my fur babies feel welcomed and loved.
