Good place to get the kids a haircut! Friendly staff would recommend this place!

It was my daughter’s very first haircut, and I was hoping it would be a special, positive experience but unfortunately it wasn’t. I expected the staff to know how to interact with children, but the person we got seemed to have very little patience. She was more focused on finishing quickly than on making my daughter feel comfortable. Since this is a place designed for kids I thought my daughter would have a great time especially for her first haircut. My daughter isn’t difficult but of course she didn’t feel comfortable with a stranger touching her hair. I assumed they had staff trained to help children feel at ease but that wasn’t the case for us. The play area and the shop itself were very nice, but the stylist we had was not a good fit at all.

review : as much as I’ve seen other ladies cut kids hair I will always advocate for my son and pick the men barbers or pick MARIA or ROSA to cut my child’s hair! 💚 They also have a little arcade and ride on machines for the children to keep them busy without throwing tantrums while you wait for your child to get called on the speaker of the location First picture is what I asked for Second picture is how I brought him and 3rd picture is how he left ready for Back to school ✏️ 📚 💚

Took my 1 year old here and he did great! Hector cut my son’s hair and he was really nice and patient. I went to the Norwalk location a few months ago but I didn’t really like how the woman there cut it. Hector did a fade for my son’s mullet, really quick. My little one doesn’t fuss or cry when he’s on my lap, he can’t do it alone just yet. But hopefully soon!

We took our baby to Pelitos Hair Salon in Downey for a simple trim in preparation for an upcoming medical procedure. We gave the stylist very clear and basic instructions. Not only did she question my wife repeatedly, but she also completely disregarded what we asked and argued about what she thought was best. In the end, she ignored our directions and did what she wanted — and the result was absolutely awful.
Instead of a light trim, she chopped our baby’s hair in a way that was careless and completely unprofessional. We’re heartbroken and angry. We came here because we expected professionalism, but instead we paid for a butchered haircut and left with a very bad taste in our mouths. This experience was upsetting and stressful, and we absolutely do not recommend this place, especially for little ones.

I’ve been coming for a little over a year now . They cut good hair Maria is really good but I definitely don’t recommend if you have a non verbal or your kids are on the spectrum/ sensory issues . I’ve heard and experienced nearly all the staff talk crazy about kids crying or how loud and annoying they’re even my own which made me not return as of a month ago . The moods of the workers is a hit or miss as is their patience on certain days . I give two stars because they work with kids I would think they would have some more patience and not be so loud when criticizing your kids . I would have given one star but to be fair Maria does cut very good hair but she is a hit or miss your best bet going early so they’re not already irritated cutting your kids hair.

My son had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at this location. Adriana the lady that cut my son’s hair was AWESOME! She was very nice and had a lot of patience. I would have given them a 5 star review but the receptionist/ cashier at the front entrance was not very nice. She had an attitude and was rude. When I asked her for chance to use the games she answered me by saying “I have NO change and besides we are about to close” while there was still people in the salon. 🤨 my son left upset ( I made it up to him by buying him a toy) . So in case you end up going to this location I suggest to take a lot of quarters for change to use the rides and games in the location.
