We had a wonderful experience with California Mortuary. The chapel was very nice, there was a large TV to display a slideshow of photos, there was adequate parking and everything went according to plan. But the best part of having my sister's service here was the warmth of John and his family that run the mortuary. They were wonderful. My niece, sisters and I wanted to participate in dressing my sister for her service and John was so kind and helpful and understanding. He was there for us exactly the right amount we needed. He gave us the time and privacy we needed while also being right there to help in just the right moments. He showed so much care and delicacy. He didn't ever make us feel rushed or judged or like this was no big deal for him. Yet he showed his experience in every moment. He helped us dress our sister (and mother of our niece) with grace and dignity. And his mother did a wonderful job with my sister's hair and makeup. We are so grateful to everyone at California Mortuary for helping our family say goodbye to our beloved. Thank you so much John and family.
Great people to work with! When you are burying a loved one you want someone who knows what needs to be done, and who will do their best to help you in that process. That’s why I totally recommend this place. My dad is very familiar with them via the various church member funerals and it’s the only place he’ll trust.
