I just stopped by my bud's house in Davis. I have only been playing saxophone for a week and a half. I was a little frustrated and bored with playing scales and only half of one song. Bob Comarow happened to be there, and he immediately pulled out his guitar and suggested we play. He showed me a blues jam as well as a way to play using a C scale. I can't believe how much I immediately improved. Plus had fun in the process. I can't recommend Bob enough to give you music insights!

I am pleased to recommend Robert (Bob) Comarow as a teacher of bass, guitar and piano. I am a working cabaret and Latin singer. I have known Bob for many years and have often observed him teaching lessons. A dedicated and gifted teacher, he is also an experienced performer who brings a real-world perspective to lessons. He is equally at home teaching all age groups and levels. He treats each student as an individual and tailors the lessons accordingly, helping his students achieve the results they seek. Bob is extremely patient and always has his students' best interests at heart. He instills in them a deep love and appreciation for music. He is versatile and familiar with many different styles of music, including classical, jazz, rock, folk, etc. When you are deciding on a teacher, it is very important to choose one with integrity, because you are entrusting your hopes and dreams to them. I can vouch for Bob's integrity. Music is not something he does; music is something he lives. So if you are selecting a teacher, either for yourself or someone else, I suggest you call Bob Comarow. Bob is a great teacher! He knows what you need to know and you've learned something new after every lesson. He's also a great help in finding good lesson books and even instruments! I currently learning 2 instruments from him guitar and bass. He's been a great help in not only teaching both helping me apply my guitar skills and knowledge to the bass.
