Got surprised bill of over $1500 for an ultrasound! Previous Communications Ignored: Prior to the appointment, I made two phone calls to your facility and sent detailed emails to my physician, explicitly stating that based on my dense breast tissue and previous ultrasound outcomes, further mammograms were unnecessary and ineffective for my condition. I also expressed a desire to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure. But they insist to let you do the mammograms for a surprised bill of over $1100! The ultrasound itself is only $400. They racked their brains to make you pay more!!

update: laura from sutter health corporation business department responded to my post, saying, once again that i could call customer service for help. this is absolute b.s.! number 1. they usually don't answer, number 2., if they do they transfer you, number 3., if you ever get through to someone, they transfer you, number 4. if you finally speak to someone, they don't follow through. note: this is standard operating procedure for sutter health. don't believe me? try it yourself!!

I came here yesterday because the advice nurse told me to. The doctor accused me of not following the advice nurse's instructions and said there was no point to my being there. He tried to blame my anxiety when I made it clear to him that it wasn't anxiety. He blew off my problem by comparing it to getting my period even though it had nothing to do with that. He acted like I was crazy for thinking I needed to go to the ER when my case is very complicated and I have lots of reasons to need to go to the ER.
