I have been going to Jade Day Spa for many many years. I have my favorite massage therapist and only tried someone else when mine wasn’t working that day and I was pleasantly surprised. Cherry was excellent! She was slow & methodical in her massage and asked if the pressure was all right. I would recommend Cherry for a superb massage. Jade’s prices cannot be beat so it’s a deal.
Blackhawk Jade Spa is gem! I drive from Oakland every 6 weeks to get a massage from Mr. Gao - he is amazing and senses what my body needs every time. This past Sunday he did some much needed gentle, but deep work on my shoulders and neck and I am SO grateful. If you're really wanting a massage that serves your body and healing/energy - this is the place. I've gifted 4 different friends to massages there. It's a bit far for a drive from Oakland, but 110% worth it.
I'm surprised to see so many people complaining about tips. Where can you find a massage for $60 an hour in this area?? These poor people sometimes work 8 to 10 hours doing hard labor and not nearly getting paid enough for their time and effort. My friend is a massage therapist and she charges $120 an hour And is always exhausted because of the nature of her work. While I see how it comes across as unprofessional for the staff to ask for more tips, it is also unprofessional for customers to be so cheap while already paying next to nothing for a massage in a very Expensive area. Come on people have some common courtesy and stop being so cheap that the staff has to ask you to be a little more generous.
