Mimi's Hair in Culver City is truly a hidden gem. It's a small hole-in-the-wall salon, but Mimi is AMAZING at what she does. I booked a balayage + haircut, and during the consultation Mimi really listened to what I wanted and gave honest feedback on what would work best for my hair. I was hoping to go lighter, but she explained the best processing plan for my hair health and how to keep it low-maintenance while still looking beautiful -- and I'm so glad I trusted her. She gave me the prettiest low-maintenance balayage, added money pieces, and cut my hair into full layers. My hair has honestly never felt softer. She also recommended products I still use to this day (like It's a 10 with keratin), and I love that she didn't just focus on the salon results -- she gave real tips on maintenance too. Bonus: Mimi has the cutest corgis They may be in the salon sometimes, so if you're not dog-friendly it's worth noting -- but for me they made the whole experience even more relaxing and fun. Overall, the styling, care, and attention to detail were fantastic. I'd absolutely book with Mimi again and highly recommend her if you're looking for soft, blended color and a low-maintenance look.

Kind of a no frills hair salon! Mimi was amazing and was able to fix my hair that another stylist at a different salon messed up. She was super patient and skilled and really listened to my requests. I cant wait to try this place again for balayage!

I was in dire need of a hair cut (it'd been about 6 months) and on a whim booked through Mimi Hair based on the other great reviews. I was able to get a hair cut appointment week-of with Sheila. When I arrived, we discussed some hair style inspirations and my desire to keep the length. She did an amazing job and I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. I appreciate the cut and style (instead of just blow drying straight) as the finishing touch. Will definitely be back! Also, love the owner's corgi who just hangs out.
