At this Thanksgiving time we felt compelled to comment on Doc. We've been visiting Dr. Mark since he came to Crescent City 15 yrs. ago. He's a friend after this length of time! We can always count on him to help with our fur babies: from being newbies to death, he's been there for us. We are truly GRATEFUL and want him to know it! He is more busy than ever with there being only 2 Vet's left in town. He can't give the clients as much gabbing time due to this fact, he is just so weighed down with so many pets needing help. We appreciate any time he can give. Just want people to know he's not being rude or anything like that: he's marvelous, he's just swamped and I think he figures its more important to give more pets needed care than spend time gabbing with owners. It's cool. We understand and are sooo grateful!!!!!

Our Frenchie was scratching herself severely on her butt areas and wouldn’t stop so we took her to the vet (Dr Martello). He found the issues and gave her some medication which was wonderful because she was much better by the end of the day. She can and has had health issues come up out of nowhere and we don’t know what we would do without Dr Martello and his staff. They are wonderful.

We were patients a couple of years ago with our dog Sparkles who is now 19 who needed to be put to sleep. We called them to schedule and they were so rude to us.

Dr. Mark is truly exceptional – the kind of veterinarian every pet owner dreams of finding. Over the past year, he's cared for our multiple cats and dog with incredible skill and compassion. Recently, he went above and beyond to save our cat Poppy, who was critically ill. He kept her under his care for six days, working overtime and through the weekend to nurse her back to health, while keeping us thoroughly informed every step of the way.
His lifetime dedication to veterinary medicine shows in every interaction – from routine checkups to emergency situations. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and treats both animals and their humans with genuine care and respect. His background as a former Hollywood studio vet adds to his wealth of experience, but it's his heart for animals that truly sets him apart.
The entire staff is wonderful, and their pricing is more than fair for the exceptional level of care provided. We couldn't recommend Dr. Mark more highly to any pet owner in the area. He's simply the best vet we've ever had.

This place is amazing, Dr. Mark and his staff always take great care of my baby blaze. They go above and beyond and check on your pet as well even on a weekend.. Thank you guys so much for being so caring and gentle with my old man ?

My experience with Crescent Animal Medical Center was positive. The hospital was clean and organized. The lobby is closed and only one client/patient is allowed in the lobby. I actually found it less chaotic than other pet hospitals and Dr Martello came out and spoke to me in depth about a plan of care for my dogs skin condition. The receptionists were polite and knowledgeable. The cost was reasonable and the care was good. I am recommending Crescent Animal to my friends and family.
