Amazing to work with. I can't say enough. Have had so many projects on house and he has been the most professional and flexible. Our job metastasized into a larger job and made it so easy. Will be hiring for next project. Pricing was very reasonable considering his excellent craftsmanship. He did fencing and landscaping and fire mitigation work for us.

Roland Funk, what a cool name... Aside from that, Roland and his guys did a great job landscaping our front and back yards this last month. Roland's quote was a fixed-price quote which came in right around the middle of my other quotes. I picked Roland because the communication was very good (he actually responds to email), but more than that because he had great ideas and seemed very knowledgeable about all kinds of things, landscaping or otherwise - Palo Alto leaf noise laws, pool demolition... He's definitely got the experience. Working with Roland during the job couldn't have been smoother - from stone samples to plant ideas, Roland made everything easy. Best of all, he treated his fixed-price quote like a time and materials (in the GOOD way), by lowering costs because I chose cheaper methods/materials after the job started. One other positive example, he found a buried concrete retaining wall, and spent over 1 man-day jacking it out for me - no change order! (thanks Roland!) I've worked with many different contractors for different kinds of jobs, Roland stands out. Highly recommended!
