I got good care here in 2018 at the San Francisco office, which is now closed. I am currently trying to obtain a copy of my sleep study so that I can get a new prescription for a CPAP. It has been three months, with multiple phone calls from multiple people at my doctor's office. Still no records. What a waste of everyone's time. I am going to get a new sleep study at a clinic that actually follows through.

I spoke to a person for 15 minutes on the phone and she determined that I needed to come into the center for a sleep study. After consultation with my ENT physician, we decided to wait until I had septum surgery. A month later I got a bill for over $500. I contacted the center and they told me I spoke to a registered nurse and that was a professional evaluation. None of that was mentioned up front. Anyway, I told them I would not be paying them. This started a process of getting more and more threatening bills. About a year later they sent me a "revised" bill that showed a submission to my insurance company and the bill was paid, minus $15.00. After the treatment they gave me around the original bill and the repeated demands for full payment, only to find out they could and did submit it to my insurance, I questioned whether they were just planning on collecting my payment and the insurance payment, so I have not paid the $15.00 yet. Today I got a threatening letter telling me they were going to turn me over to a collections agency, which could result in my credit score being affected (not true, unpaid medical bills cannot affect your credit score), garnishment of bank accounts and wages and court appearances. I almost want to wait it out, because each of those things is going to cost California Center for Sleep Disorders far more than the $15.00 they want me to pay.

Worst experience with a medical provider that i have ever experienced! The few times I was able to speak with someone, they did not provide correct information regarding my treatment. Most of the time, I was forced to leave a message on their web portal and via voicemail none of which were answered. They had me go through two home sleep studies but although months have passed have not provided me or my regular doctor any results. They had said the second at home sleep study was needed because the subcontractor that provided the test equipment would not give the sleep clinic the data.
