Dr Shute has been a good friend for 40 plus years. He is the best at his trade and very proficient. We will miss him as he retires this year but are happy for him and his family. Thanks Steven !

Bit skeptical at first, as the website says they are an"English speaking" practice. (Hello, it's 2018, time to update the website Doc.) And it's a converted house in the Old Town area. But the staff is 6 stars nice, friendly and makes you feel like you were the only patient for the day, even tho it's a very busy practice. I've been wearing glasses for almost 50 years and tried the quicky places, department store, medical groups , you name it. Don't let the Old Town appearance fool you like it did me. They have the most high tech testing equiptment I've ever seen and this visit, a new better machine from 2 yr ago where you actually are "in your eye" (on a computer screen) and the Dr. is giving you a tour of your darn eyeballs from the inside ! Fascinating! I learned a lot about eyes and aging and the Dr. Was very patient . Not the usual 1 or 2, hurry up that you can get. The frame selection was not huge, but as modern as the mall with Ray Ban, Wiley, Oakley, and some fashion brands I couldn't pronounce but in sure the ladies know. I will be a patient of Dr. Shute as long as I'm able. Great Dr. But the lovely, sweet staff made the visit. During all my tests, the with all the cool machines, the gal giving the tests was professional, but small town Clovis friendly too and explained each one and was as cute as she could be. He took as much time as you needed.

Love love love! The staff is so friendly! The Dr. is amazing. I took my twin boys here ( which they are 8) . The staff kept the boys involved on what they were doing the whole time. Loved every part of this experience. I would highly recommend
