Sherry is a curly hair genius! My grey hair came in wavy and I decided to go ahead and see if I could lean into it even though I’d had straight hair my whole life. Besides the amazing cut, she really educates you in how to do your own hair and why certain products do or do not work (the nerd in me loves this). I love how she is continually doing her research and keeping me up to date on new ways to keep my hair looking great. Highly recommend!

I went to Sherry with desperation to fix my chemically damaged curls…she worked her magic to the fullest! I have never been taught so much about curls that I’ve had my entire life, I felt like a curly head beginner. Sherry was extremely knowledgeable with techniques & products (a curly hair scientist if you will) I am so happy that I was taught each technique at the salon so once I got home (and after reading the instructions a million times) I felt complete set up for success! My confidence has taken a turn down a path of fierceness and I’ll all here for it! I've been in CA for 4 years now and had only been getting a haircut when I went back to AR to see my family but decided it was time to find my hair person in CA. This search led me to Straight Up Curls and I am so glad!! I was in need a haircut as it had been 1 1/2 years and my hair was awful and weighed down. After my cut and style tutorial my bounce and curl is back.
