About TG The Gym Chula Vista
TG The Gym Chula Vista is a popular fitness center serving bodybuilders, powerlifters, and fitness enthusiasts. It is outfitted with a range of equipment including free weights, squat racks, machines, treadmills, and a functional training area. Located in downtown Chula Vista, the gym can get crowded, particularly during peak hours. While the gym offers various amenities, such as a cafe with special protein shakes, meal preps, and coffees, some users have noted challenges with parking and cleanliness. The staff is friendly and always ready to give guidance and support, creating a safe environment for self-development. A new sauna with infrared is soon to be added, along with a wellness center next door for blood work and cosmetic treatments like Botox. The cafe and customer service are highly praised, and the facility is known for its cleanliness and maintained equipment. Although it could benefit from a filtered water bottle filling station and more areas for functional training and stretching, many find the space and equipment sufficient and helpful. The gym is also LGBT friendly, making it welcoming for all members. Despite some minor issues, TG The Gym Chula Vista remains a well-regarded choice for many fitness enthusiasts in the South Bay.
Update: They've started to make room for more machines and fix the mirrors, which is neat. Everything else I said before is the same, except I got an email from the owner that said you can use the towels from the sauna/cold plunge as long as you return them. It's something. I will say I miss the old morning crew because the music/TVs at 3-5 a.m. are always off everywhere and you have to remind the guy to turn them on. It's awkward when you forget your earbuds, my dude. Ya know?
Overall good machine options. The premium membership is worth it for the private area and saunas/cold plunge. I just wish they sold or provided bath towels in the locker rooms and allowed...read full review
A decent welcoming gym environment. Some days it's not too overcrowded but some other days it can be overbearing with tripods, dirty towels and sweat on equipment is too much of an itch to ignore. There is enough equipment to get you through a conventional workout but I wish there was more variety because there is too much redundancy in the archetype (example : too many flat bench stations ) They should rearrange some of the less commonly used and replace with more functional parts. The newly El Cajon location has been supplied with new equipment and that location seems to get more love than the Chula Vista location; safe to say it's time for a remodel. The price of the...read full review
My name is Andrew, and I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Adrian for helping me resolve my recent issue. I’ve been dealing with some personal matters that caused me to pause my account, and Adrian went above and beyond to assist me. I really appreciate the entire staff for being so understanding and supportive. As soon as I take care of what I need to, I’ll definitely be back at the gym. Thank you all for being amazing!
