Prado Recreation is a 500-acre dog park that offers a variety of amenities for dog owners. The property consists of fields and 13 ponds, which are available for dog activities such as training, playing, and swimming. The facility is first-come, first-served, and there is no hunting or fishing allowed on the premises. It is a popular spot for training hunting, field trial, and hunt test dogs, with numerous ponds and varied water levels suitable for training. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the affordable entry fee of $15, which includes a spouse and two dogs. The park is part of the Prado flood basin, so some areas may be flooded during winter and early spring, and visitors should pay attention to the rules and surroundings. There are two outhouses and a restroom with a shower at the gatehouse, along with a shady picnic area. The park is often used for dog training, lure coursing, and club events, making it a favorite spot for many dog enthusiasts. Visitors are encouraged to be respectful of others, especially when training in large areas, and to be aware of live shotgun fire during certain activities.

We are a 500 acre dog park. The property consists of fields and ponds for use of dog activities only such as dog training of any kind, playing and swimming. We have 13 ponds and an abundance of fields, all of which are First Come, First Served. There is no hunting or fishing of wildlife on the property. We also provide dog kennels for boarding. Dogs can stay for one (1) day to month(s), depending on your needs. The Kennels are 16' feet long by 5' feet wide and someone is always on the property to watch after them overnight.
