Windows Installation in Chico

“I would have given them a 5 star review if not for two disappointments given at the bottom. I went with Chico Solar Works because they could also replace the roof (Chico Roofing Company) and I was willing to pay a premium to have a single company to deal with if anything went wrong. Also, they have been around for quite a while, I knew a few people who had used them for solar and their prices weren't out of the ballpark. Once the installation began it went quickly and smoothly, taking only a couple of days for installation and PG&E approved the installation within a few days. Note that they also had to upgrade our breaker box to 200A and they did a great job of matching the adobe texture and paint color where they had to cut out for the larger box. There were two things that were a bit disappointing. One was that the monitoring app showed incorrect "Consumed" energy information. It was including the produced power so when the sun came up my Consumed power went up at the same time as the produced power from the panels went up. According to Enphase this is a rather common issue and yet it took a couple of weeks to get Chico Solar to recognize there was a problem, which included my talking to Enphase a couple of times. Even after it was agreed there was a problem it took another month to get the issue resolved. It was disappointing that the people who do the installations couldn't recognize there was an issue even when I described it to them. The second issue is that (at least) one of the panels has a scratch a couple of inches long. At least initially this is not going to be an issue but I suppose it could lead to early failure. I have not reported that to Chico Solar. I should also mention that all the installed equipment was as quoted except for the panels. The panels were from a different supplier and had an additional 10W output with nearly the same specs otherwise.“
